Coordination
Porter Drywall understands that coordination isn't just about attending weekly meetings. Our preference is to be involved, and involve our site supervisor in the planning process as early as possible. Once the foundation is set and the steel erected we know that in most cases the drywall trade drives the schedule. We must coordinate closely with the construction management team and all those onsite to ensure work can be performed as efficient and orderly as possible.

To ensure the integrity of all rated walls, immediately after framing full height rated walls, we hang and fire tape drywall above the ceiling height. Porter coordinates this work with the MEP trades to determine the locations of penetrations which will have restricted future access. Porter provides bond outs or assistance in cutting holes in the drywall for the MEP trades as needed to ensure a quality finished product.
