Safety & Quality Programs
Our goal is to be the model for safety in which all others in our industry are measured. At Porter Drywall safety is priority, equal in importance to our commitment to our customer, and the quality of our work. Our most valuable asset is our employee-owners and as managers we are committed to ensure we provide them a safe and healthy work environment.

Safety is not just talk - it's action. We have a fully developed safety program which includes weekly independent safety inspections. In addition to a complete safety manual, MSDS books, established core safety rules, and weekly tool box safety meetings, all employees receive OSHA10 training, and annual refresher training. Further, adherence to and enforcement of safety is one of only eight factors graded during each employee's annual review.

  • At Porter Drywall - WE BELIEVE...
  • The prevention of accidents is a moral obligation, which crosses all levels of the organization.

  • That no one lives or works entirely alone. If you fail the person beside you, you yourself have failed.

  • The true horror of an accident is the realization that the individual has failed themselves, their family - and more over the organization has failed them.

  • That every person bears the ultimate responsibility for keeping out of harm's way. This they owe to themselves, their family and the entire organization

  • Freedom from harm is not a privilege but our absolute minimum standard that can only be achieved if it is kept as the highest priority every day

  • An accident develops from a chain of events, which are allowed to continue due to improper attitudes and behaviors. When individuals are empowered with proper training, awareness and authority they can break the chain and prevent an accident.

  • Accidents will cease only when the right organizational attitudes and behaviors are in place and strong enough to create an environment and awareness that causes individuals to stop; think and take action to eliminate or control the risk.
